If the case is dismissed, the ticket does not go on your driving record and there are no fines to pay. If the case is reduced to a non-moving violation, the ticket does not go on your driving record but you pay a fine to the court (approx fine of your ticket +/- $50). If we cannot dismiss, amend, defer, or change your ticket so it is convicted on your driving record as originally cited, then you are entitled to a full refund. You do not need to go to court for MOST courts (with the exception of US District & Skagit County). The attorney fee paid is a flat fee and it covers full representation at an infraction contested hearing. The attorney fee is earned upon receipt and will not be deposited in a separate client trust account. However, if representation terminates early before the case is resolved before a final judgment at the contested hearing, then you may get a refund of a portion of the attorney fee. In the vast majority of cases, there is no problem keeping the ticket off the driving record.
